Liquid bleach is safe to use occasionally to treat stains on granite and other types of stone but it shouldn t be used daily. Rust stains may be impossible to remove. Remember bleach should never be used full strength for cleaning any surface it should always be diluted with water first. This includes anything containing vinegar lemon orange and ammonia. While bleach is a great disinfectant it can dull the finish of your granite and in some cases even change its color.

For disinfecting our registered epa product is clorox clean up cleaner bleach. Always avoid harsh corrosive or abrasive household cleaning products on your natural stone. There are other safer ways to disinfect your stone so avoid bleach and any products that contain it when cleaning your granite. Use poultice on them.

Yes clorox regular bleach 2 is safe for sealed granite countertops. Lysol lemon all purpose cleaner. You should avoid using acid based cleaners lemon orange vinegar. For ink stains use acetone on dark granite and bleach or hydrogen peroxide on light stone.

Clean biological stains mold mildew and the like with diluted bleach or ammonia in a ratio of 1 4 cup of chemical to 1 gallon of water. Bleach can also help remove a color stain from granite. Granite countertops should generally be cleaned with either a mixture of water and liquid dish detergent or a granite soap however occasionally you can use diuted bleach to clean or disinfect a sealed granite countertop. Not only can bleach degrade the sealant on your countertops but it can also lead to staining because granite is porous.

You should never clean your granite countertops with anything that contains. Long story short you can use bleach to lift stains from granite but it should not be used as an all purpose cleaner.
